Hello Friends! I am still here, LOL!!! The past few months have brought so many changes in our lives that blogging has had to take a back seat. I have considered shutting down this blog but always thought that I would be able to get back to it on a regular basis. I am not a fast blogger, it takes me a long time to write a post, I don't put my thoughts to words very well or very fast, LOL! I actually have tried to post twice since my last post but both times I somehow lost the whole post & didn't have time to do it over. I tried to upload pics for this post but since my Premium ran out it says that I have reached my limit on photo storage & it won't let me upload anymore pics. I need to go thru & delete all the old pics I guess & free up some space. I still haven't decided if I will keep this blog open & post when I can or close it down. If you come here someday & it says this blog has been deleted then you will know that I just don't have enough time to blog the way I would like to. So many people have gone to Facebook now. I have a Facebook but I'm afraid I am just as bad at posting on there as I am here. I felt the need to cut my computer time down at the beginning of this year. I can easily spend hours on the computer & not get my work done if I am not careful.
I have a little more work to do on our new place. Will I ever get done?? LOL!!! I have some painting to do in our bedroom & I would like to find a better storage system for my scrapbooking stuff in the extra bedroom. I really need to go thru all of it & get rid of what I don't use. When we moved I went thru all my crafts except the scrapbooking & got rid of alot of stuff. I just really feel the need to get rid of all of this stuff that I have that takes up so much space.
I have been working in the yard alot lately. It has been warm, it was in the 80's this weekend. I planted alot of bulbs & they are beginning to come up! I love seeing those little green sprouts poking up thru the dirt! I have 2 gardenia plants, a bleeding heart & a camelia that I need to plant. One side of our place gets mostly shade so they will all go on that side. Hopefully in the next couple of days I will get those in the ground.
My Mom is doing good, just slowing down alot. She will be 80 this coming week & she doesn't get around too well anymore. My sis & I took her out to breakfast on Sat. morning & then for a drive around the neighborhood. She really needs to be in a wheelchair but she prefers her walker. She loves the warmer weather & is really looking forward to Springtime.
Tim & April are really enjoying their new home. April has done a wonderful job in decorating it. We have been over for dinner & to visit several times & we are so thrilled that they live closer to us now! Tim just finished up the Firefighter 2 Academy. He was there, except for weekends, for 6 weeks. He worked really hard & did a great job!
My hubby is still having to work long hours & he has go down to the Mexico plant at least once a week. He had to go down this past Fri morning & got back at 1:00 a.m. this morning to take care of the end of the month stuff. It is a long drive (3 hours each way) but he carpools with another guy & the other guy does most of the driving. We hate that he has to go out of the country but we are thankful that he still has a job.
Well, that is about it for now. Life is good for us, we are very blessed & so thankful to God for our many blessings. I hope to get around to all of your blogs soon, blessings to all of you dear friends!

Merry Christmas!

We are getting ready for a family gathering here at our place tomorrow. Most of the cooking is done, the gifts are wrapped, lots of cookies were baked today & we are almost ready! I just have to put together a couple of dishes & that will be it! We are looking forward to celebrating the birth of our Savior tomorrow! Merry Christmas to all of you & yours. May your Christmas Day be blessed with family, fun, good food & most of all the joy of remembering the true reason for the season!

Catching Up...
Seems like I am always catching up here! This is a busy time of year always but add moving & my Mom's declining health & it gets a little crazy! My Mom just isn't able to get around very well anymore & she gets tired very easy. She is having alot more pain & doesn't like to take her pain meds. I am always asking her if she has taken her meds & usually she hasn't. She will wait until the pain is out of control & she can't stand it before she takes any. I have to threaten to call the Dr. to get her to take them. She has severe osteoarthritis & is bent over alot now. She uses a walker & probably needs to be in a wheelchair full time but she refuses. I can understand, it would be hard to give up your independence but with her pain increasing I can see it in the near future.
We are so thankful to be in our new place for the holidays! I am having fun trying to figure out where to put the Christmas decorations! I still have a little more to do but here are some pics:
The crocheted angel on top of our tree was made by my DMIL & given to us when we were first married 37 years ago. Here are some of my favorite ornaments:
These pics don't do these justice but they are cross-stitched & have beads on them. Much prettier in person. A friend made them for me.
A hand-stitched nativity made for the ladies at Bible Study.
A little angel made out of wallpaper from a friend. She is probably 15 years old. I glue her back together every year but I would miss her if she wasn't on the tree!
This is a very old ornament that belonged to my ILs. I found it & several more when we cleaned out their home after they passed away. They are so beautiful, they are probably from the 40's.
An ornament I made when Tim was 4 years old! That was 27 years ago!!!
And our very first Disney ornament from 1995. That was the first year we got Annual Passes. We get an ornament every year & I put the date on the back.
Nativity & Angel collection.
This is a new centerpeice I got this year at JoAnns for 60% off! I love how they are having the big sales on Christmas stuff before Christmas this year!
Joseph, Mary & baby Jesus statue made for the Bible Study ladies.
Vintage Christmas decoration I found at an antique shop.
Snowman collection.
Snowman tree!
A doll I used to make for craft shows.
And last but not least this beautiful musical angel that belonged to my ILs. She was out every year at Christmas at their place & now she is out at my house every year. You can wind her up & she plays Silent Night.
My dear hubby has been working long hours. The company he works for has a plant in Mexico & he has to go down there a couple of times a week which makes for a very long day & lots of driving for him. He has been so tired & really needs a break. He took tomorrow off & we are going away for a few days. Will bring back pics, see you when we get back!
